Neurological Physiotherapist
About the role
We are searching for a passionate Neurological Physiotherapist for a diverse and interesting caseload across Ballarat. Ideally you’ll have at least 2-4 years experience as a Physiotherapist, and a passion for working with people with Acquired Brain Injuries, Spinal Cord Injuries, CVA’s and Progressive Neurological Conditions.
Whether you are already experienced or just ready to take that next step in your career, we offer extensive support, supervision and clinical teaching to keep you loving your work.
What we can provide you
Achievable (low) KPIs that allow time for & support the important things like clinical supervision, professional development, time spent with your team and your wellbeing at work.
Flexible hours that you can tailor around your life and what’s important to you. Picture never having to submit a timesheet ever again.
Whole team PD’s, individual discipline PD’s, and a love of external PD’s as well
Clinical supervision & support that is constant and available.
Laptop + Phone set up, with great, easy to use online systems that won’t make you want to break either of them
Fortnightly team lunch, cooked by the bosses. Picture our whole team sitting down to a feast that could be three different curries served with rice + roti + papadums, or perhaps three hearty winter soups served with homemade rosemary bread. And did we mention there are gluten free and vegan options at every meal?
Did we mention the quality espresso machine at the office? If you love coffee like us it could save you thousands of $$ on take away coffee (but don’t worry, we know all the good local cafes for those times when you just want to head out for a walk)
Most of all you’ll be part of a team that connects and enjoys each other’s company, in an environment where you feel supported to make an impact. Join us to find out why our staff retention is so high it’s “off the charts”
How we help you find your place @ Tandem
Starting any new job is exciting, but it can definitely leave you feeling a tad fatigued. Let’s face it, sometimes just remembering your passwords & learning where to find the toilets at a new place can be exhausting...
That’s why at Tandem we don’t just shove a caseload in your direction, we build it at a pace that works well for you.
Then there’s the couches, mini-library, private staff garden (and espresso machine) to help you take those little moments of rest that are simply vital.
Our flexible approach means you never have to “look busy” at work. If your brain briefly shuts down in the afternoon you can head to the gym, do your grocery shopping, explore the town or take a walk by the river. We think it’s important that our staff manage their energy as much as their time, so if you don’t have a client session booked in you are free to do whatever helps you be at your best. No sideways glances from your co-workers as you head out the door, just trust & support to help you find what works for you.
How we help you love your job
At Tandem we focus on impact. We also love to be creative in our approach to therapy.
As you walk into our office you’ll see our giant (5 metre) Aerial Circus rig, which our Physio’s use with clients to work on core control, strength & coordination. There’s the enclosed trampoline that our OT’s use for movement breaks or the full kitchen where clients can bake their own perfectly imperfect creations.
When we work with our clients we look for every opportunity to take their interests and embed them into our therapy. So you might run a session at our office, or a school, a park, a shopping centre, a swimming pool. Whatever location will make the biggest impact.
Our clients are our our why
The western side of Melbourne, and the regional areas beyond, have significantly less access to healthcare and disability services than most areas across metro Melbourne. This means that we work with a wide variety of clients, allowing us to tailor caseloads to the specific skills and interests of our team.
Have a chat to us about your interests and we’ll show you how we can create a caseload that is manageable, yet keeps you growing and learning for many, many years to come.
We love our local community
We are lucky enough to work in one of the most successful multicultural regions in Australia. Not only does this significantly add to the vibrancy of our local community, it also means that we are able to make a more significant impact as we support people from refugee backgrounds, or families where english is not the primary language spoken at home.
Navigating the NDIS, the health system & the school systems can be challenging for anyone, but these challenges can be even more significant for people in our local community. So we embrace this as an opportunity that allows us to have an even greater impact, through the way in which we can support people outside of our direct “clinical role”.
Part Time position across Ballarat & Immediate surrounds
